Edward “Bud” Flipse became an elder in March of 2009. He and his wife Sheila have been attending Twin for a little over five years. Bud was raised in the Vestal area, but his career choices have taken him to five different states. He attended Buffalo Bible Institute and graduated from Tennessee Temple University and was ordained by Calvary Baptist Tabernacle here in Vestal. Bud has been a teen program director, youth pastor, minister of music, associate pastor, rehabilitation program director, rescue mission pastor, mission superintendent, mission administrator, and now is a school bus driver for Vestal. He and his wife both sing in the choir, and Bud drives the church bus to pick up the college students for Sunday services. He met his wife Sheila while ministering to homeless people at the Open Door Mission in Omaha, Nebraska. Bud enjoys gardening, music, backpacking, skiing, and traveling. |

Ken Gow has been an Elder since 1995. He graduated from Practical Bible Training School (now Davis College) in 1979 with a three-year Bible diploma. He served in the Army for two years and the Army Reserve for just over twenty years. He is currently self-employed in delivery.
He has taught many Adult Bible classes at Twin, preaches at Willow Point Nursing Home, and is a leader of a small group. He likes to work with wood on his family’s property as well as host Civil War reenactments on this property. He enjoys anything with a military association. His family consists of three brothers and one sister. |

Henry Huizinga became an Elder in 2007. He is, however, not a newcomer to the Lord’s service. He has served in many capacities while at another church--elder and missions committee--as well as served on El Rancho’s board. He was a deacon here before joining the elder board.
Henry is a successful dairy farmer in Tioga County with his wife Lois. They have four children and two grandchildren. Henry likes to spend time with family and friends when not reading, hunting, playing golf, or watching football |

David MacFadden has been an Elder since August of 2007. He participates currently at Twin as a choir member, small group leader, Willow Point Nursing Home volunteer, and Kids Klub teacher. He previously served as a Sunday school teacher (adults, junior boys and junior-high boys), worship leader, men’s fellowship leader, Evangelism Explosion leader, summer Kids Klub teacher/coordinator, co-organizer of small groups, and a drama team participant.
Dave is a 1984 graduate of SUNY Cortland with a BS in Health and a MS in Health in 2001. He also holds a diploma in Bible and Missions from Practical Bible Training School in 1988 and is currently pursuing a Masters of Ministry at Baptist Bible Seminary.
Dave was an announcer for eight years for radio station WPEL, and he and his wife Jill were missionaries with ABWE in Kenya and Germany for ten years. He is presently a health teacher at Union-Endicott High School in Endicott. He and Jill have four children. His hobbies are bike riding, hiking, camping, fixing things, skiing, reading, sailing, and canoeing. His most favorite activity is doing one of these things with the family and ending up eating ice cream |

Steve Ng became an elder in 1996. Along with these duties, Steve also coordinates the Willow Point Nursing Home ministry and audio records all sermons. Previously Steve was an AWANA leader and an adult Sunday school teacher.
After graduating from Cooper Union College in New York City with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Steve worked for General Electric in several locations in the Manufacturing Management Program. In 1983, he came to GE in Johnson City, which has gone through several names--Martin Marietta, Lockheed Martin, and now BAE Systems. In 1987 he received his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Binghamton. Steve has worked as a quality engineer and now a design engineer.
He and his wife Virginia have two children. He has many hobbies--bicycling, woodworking, home maintenance, gardening, auto maintenance, computers, model rocketry, and model railroading, but his favorite is bicycle riding. |

Nolan Schmidt joined the Elder board in March of 2009. He and his wife Janice came to Twin in 2007 when Nolan’s promotion to Vice President in BAE brought them to Vestal. Nolan also teaches Adult Bible Fellowships. He has been an elder, deacon, and teacher in previous churches during his twenty moves with the US Marine Corps. He and Jan are currently participating in the BU Friends and Family program. He was born in Oklahoma and graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 1972 with a BS degree in Math. Since then, he has earned an MSEE in the Naval Postgraduate School, and an MPA at George Washington University. The Schmidts have two adult children and five grandchildren. Their son-in-law and son are both in the military. Nolan’s favorite things to do are read, walk, and bike when he isn’t doing “home fix-up” or traveling with his company. |

Tad Williams was elected elder in 2007. Before that he was a trustee/deacon, co-organizer of small groups, the teacher/leader of the young couples Adult Bible Fellowship, and a Kids Klub helper. Presently he also helps out in the nursery and as an usher.
Tad has been in college much of his adult life. He has an AA in general education from Baptist Bible College, a BA in Psychology from Cedarville College, a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Toledo, and in 2008 received a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy of Shenandoah University. He has been a pharmacist at Lourdes Hospital and Medical College of Ohio Hospital and is presently a pharmacist at Wilson Hospital.
His hobbies are woodworking, camping, reading, learning, and landscaping/yard work and his favorite thing to do is to camp with his family. Tad has a wife Susanne and three children. |
